Sayeda A. Nazir, M.D

Dr. Nazir grew up in Northwest Oklahoma City and attended The University of Oklahoma and graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude with a degree in Biochemistry. She earned her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, in Oklahoma City, and participated in clinical research at the Dean McGee Eye Institute and co-authored several research articles and papers. She completed her Ophthalmology residency at Harvey and Bernice Jones Eye Institute in Little Rock, Arkansas where she was the recipient of multiple awards, including the Academic Achievement Award. She also co-authored several clinical papers, and presented her research nationally and received the “Best Neuro-Ophthalmology Paper” award at the American Academy of Ophthalmology conference in Atlanta.

Dr. Nazir is Board-Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and previously practiced as a busy comprehensive ophthalmologist in Norman. She also served as volunteer clinical faculty to Emergency Room residents from the Norman Regional Hospital system. Additionally, she worked with several clinical study organizations to provide dilated eye examinations to study patients.

Dr. Nazir is married to Shoab Nazir, MD, who is a pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine specialist, and has two children, a cat, and a guinea pig. In her spare time, Dr. Nazir enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, exercising, and creating natural skincare products. In addition to English, Dr. Nazir is also proficient in Spanish, Hindi, Urdu, and Tamil.
